Thailand is moving forwards in the IP-based business!
I have been involved in a project that tries to promote entrepreneurship in Thailand. The project was started by an incredible man named Mr. Chalermpom, CEO of CT Asia, Co Ltd. . His vision is to revolutionize the way people do business in Thailand. Almost all of the businesses in Thailand, according to Mr. Chalermpon, are still in 'the old world', particularly, food&beverage, retail, energy, and tourism sectors. Very few are from the intellectual property (IP) base. The project wants to make Thai people aware of the potential business in 'the new world' (whether it is in nanotechnology, biotechnology, or software). We have many great scientists and engineers in Thailand. They created many breakthrough technologies; however, they failed to use such technologies to create a sellable product in the market.
